The Pilates Body book by Brooke Siler is such a gem! This little book has been a constant companion since I seriously began my Pilates training. I highly recommend you adding this to your library if you are interested in maintaining your mat work away from the studio.
I have been fortunate enough to train with Brooke and hope to more in the future. In the meantime, having her book is the next best thing! I love the way she writes about the method, how she creates verbal illustrations and has crisp pictures for visualization. She concisely explains and demonstrates each exercise in the classical Pilates mat work in a way that makes it accessible to everyone. The modifications are included and Brooke encourages the reader to move at a pace comfortable to them.
Next time you have to be away from the studio, consider taking Brooke’s book with you as a guide to continue your work.
